Christmas at Horkans

Christmas at Horkans is our favourite time in the garden centre and is a magical part of the Christmas season.

In Horkans Castlebar, our Special Santa Post Box is ready for all your letters and is in our special Christmas Winter Wonderland which has some special visitors right now! Rudolph has enlisted some of his friends to help us out for the next few weeks so pop in and meet Santa’s deer. Visitors of all ages will be enchanted by these beautiful animals so come along and say hello before they have to take off on some very important business.

Santa will be making a special appearance to collect all of the letters from our Special Santa Post Box at 3pm. He will be in Horkans Castlebar every weekend at 3pm from Saturday the 2nd of December to the 23rd December. When Santa has read all your letters, Mrs Clause and the elves will make sure he replies so be sure to put your email on the back of your letter!

Our Christmas Shop is now open in our Turlough Castlebar, Galway, Glen of the Downs and Sligo stores. To help you get in the Christmas spirit we have specially selected some great Christmas offers for you and your family to choose from.

We have a fantastic range of artificial Christmas trees available, ranging from 2ft up to 9ft. Some of these are pre-strung with Christmas lights so all you have to do is to add the decorations!

Real Christmas trees will be in store from December 1st. Our specially selected premium Nordmann Fir Christmas Trees are renowned for their rich full green foliage and non-shedding needles. Make it a fun family trip to choose your real Christmas tree this year. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening in December we will have a candlelit entrance to all our stores and hot chocolate for the children.

There are lots of things happening from choirs singing carols in Turlough to Santa arriving in a helicopter in the Glen.
